ETH Zurich will be using SUPER SESI for metabolomic studies.jpg

The ETH Zurich (Switzerland) has recently completed the acquisition and installation process of a new SUPER SESI unit for a Thermo Fisher Scientific Orbitrap mass spectrometer, that will help in different fields of the research conducted at this institution related to metabolomic studies.

The ETH Zurich is one of the leading study and research institutions worldwide. Around 18,000 people from 80 nations study, carry out researches or work there. About 370 professors in 16 departments teach mainly in the engineering sciences and architecture, system-oriented sciences, mathematics and natural sciences areas and carry out research that is highly valued worldwide.

SUPER SESI is a highly sensitive ion source developed by Fossiliontech that harnesses the power of high-resolution mass spectrometry to enable online ionization of low volatility metabolites. Built upon Secondary Electro-Spray Ionization (SESI), SUPER SESI helps making real-time analysis of volatile organic compunds (VOCs) a reality today.

SUPER SESI will try to help ETH Zurich scientists with their research endeavours and to achieve their objectives.

We have worked in SESI-MS for 10 years now, if you would like to know more about how our core solution SUPER SESI works, contact us to ask any questions or keep on reading here .
