Meet SESI #2

After learning the basics about SESI in our first post of the "Meet SESI" series, let's go deeper into it.

One of the main advantages of SESI is that it is an extremely soft ionization technique. There are no high-energy ions present at any point in the ionizer.

Why is this so important?

Because in-source ion fragmentation and oxidation are extremely low, as a result SESI spectra are simpler and easier to interpret

That is particularly important for untargeted studies, like biomarker discovery.

There are so many different things related to the SESI world that we are looking forward to talking about... #ionization,  #spraystability#limitsofdetection are just some of them! But these are topics for future posts of our series :)

So stay tuned, and follow us if you don't want to miss our educational series!
